Meh, this guide seems very focused on playing as a big country that starts out with a lot of trade node domination like England or Castile. If you play as one of the 100s of weak countries with very little trade node control, increasing tax is probably better than production. And you probably don't have the money to upgrade CoT's to level 3, like, ever. I'm allso not sure about going for the estate mana privileges early on and tanking your crown land. That'll hugely increase autonomy for like 20 years until you can get back to over 20% crown land, which is pretty bad and probably not worth it.

Exploration is weak because you can technically just steal colonies, yet navy is great because makes navy OP, but you cant usualy beat the AI navy anyway. The only country that is usualy a real problem in the sea is great britan, because they have a ton of navy bonuses and they sometimes take naval/maritime ideas.

Overlooking expansion -10% local autonomy in territories is a bit weird. If you are colonizing, you probably have a lot of trade companies that will not be states. This is not a D tier at all, it is however, situational. Imo colonizers should absolutely get it most of the time. Also anyone playing in asia or africa can also benefit from it from picking it later as a 5th or 6th idea.

humanism is undervalued here imo, if you play a really big nation, not having rebels makes it way more fun. f you play e.g Qing then it's even better due to the harmonization speed. If you combine the improv. relation with diplo ideas for example, you get huge amounts of AE reduction AND can easily avoid coalitions by keeping up good relations. You take humanism early and get 10% of any other idea group as well. But just saving micromanaging rebels and being able to use your troops for wars instead of waiting and fighting rebels makes the game go so much smoother.
